この科目では、フランスとドイツの歴史的な関係を紐解き、度重なる対立から20世紀後半の融和へ、そしてEUの牽引役へと変化した様相を、両国の狭間に位置するアルザス地方に焦点を当てながら考えることを目的とします。

２　ナショナリズム形成の問題を理解することができる。
３　「国境」「境界」から見たネイションの歴史を理解することができる。
