Course Outline and Method

本講義では、グローバル・ヒストリーの視点からいかに「過去」を再構成し、新しい歴史像を提起できるかについて考える。グローバル・ヒストリーとは、20世紀において支配的だった国民国家史（一国史）にとらわれず、あるいはそれらを単に結合した「世界史」ではなく、国境を移動するモノや思想、あるいは地球環境等を分析対象とし、地球大の歴史を描こうとする試みである。本来、その関心は多岐にわたるが、本講義ではとくに経済の面に焦点をあてたい。とりわけ、資本主義経済の生成・発展・変容の歴史を政治や文化の次元との関係に留意しながら考察する。現在では、「グローバル」という言葉が一種の流行語になった観があるが、この講義を通してグローバルに考えるとは何を意味しているのかについて、あらためて考える機会としたい。

②受講生が、人文・社会科学に関する高度な内容を持つ文献を読みこなすことができる 。
