Course Outline and Method

本科目は、政策科学部で提供される LGA 言語科目10語種（Korean, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, German, Italian, French, Russian, Spanish）のうちの１言語の文化と政策の研究を紹介する。前半は講義の主軸となる言語がもつ特徴について学習し、後半は当該言語が使用される国・地域の文化、社会、歴史を解説し、同時に当該言語に関連する政策についての研究を紹介していく。中間に当該言語に関するプレゼンテーション、学期末に当該言語に関わりかつ各自の関心のあるテーマについてプレゼンテーションを行う。

Student Attainment Objectives

・母語、英語以外の言語を大学で新たに学習する意義や複言語主義の考え方を理解できる。
・当該言語をはじめ各言語の特徴を理解し、当該言語を使用してどのような政策科学研究が可能か、自分の関心に引き寄せて考えることができる。

LGA 語種と政策的課題の結びつきを念頭に、語種の対象地域・国についての基礎的知識を獲得しておくことが望ましい。

授業への積極的な参加やリアクションペーパーの提出を前提とする出席点（60%）、中間テストと学期末に実施するプレゼンテーションの結果（40%）で評価する。

授業で使用する資料（PPTスライド、PDF など）は、前の授業中もしくは授業前に manaba+R 上で配布されることがあるため、必ず目を通してから講義に臨むこと。
