Course Outline and Method

This course is a seminar strongly recommended to take for students in "International PBL Program in ASEAN Countries (ASEANで学ぶ国際PBLプログラム) ." However, other students who wish to learn actively with other students from Indonesia and Thailand also can take the course.
The purpose of this seminar is to understand problems that Japan is facing and suggest solutions based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL).
In this course, students are expected to work in online group with other countries and discuss activity. The ultimate outcome of this course is to cultivate students' skill to work together and create outputs effectively and efficiently in the globalized society with multifaceted perspectives and understanding of other cultures. Not only finding problems, but suggesting solutions with other students from different backgrounds is an important step to the outcome.
This course provides students with such chances. Even though instructors give basic knowledge and advice to students, it is the students who take a main role for suggesting solutions through problem finding. The course will be managed flexibly according to students' interests and the progress of their research.

Student Attainment Objectives

1. Students can identify problems of their home countries and even cases in different countries.
2. Students can think logically from problem finding to solution suggestion in group.
3. Students can provide creative solutions in group.
