Course Outline and Method

【+R授業について】
9月20日までにmanaba+Rのコースニュースに+R授業の案内を掲載する。必ずmanaba+Rのコースニュースを確認すること。

この科目では、フランス革命の直後から19世紀の半ばまでのフランス史を語る文章をフランス語から日本語に翻訳する。

春学期の授業では19世紀のフランスに焦点を当てたが、本学期では19世紀の西ヨーロッパに重点を置く。具体的には、次のようなテーマを扱う予定である：ウィーン会議、ドイツおよびイタリアの統一、イギリスにおける社会主義の台頭、ギリシャ独立、植民地主義、など

毎回、宿題として指定された文章の単語を調べてくること。授業では、各文を音読した後、受講生が翻訳を行い、全員で最も適切な翻訳を考える。

また、受講生は教員が決めたテーマ（19世紀の西ヨーロッパに関するもの）のリストから一つを選び、そのテーマに基づく文章（A4一枚）を提出する。その文章を個人（または人数によってグループ）で翻訳する。さらに、受講生は授業の13〜15回（受講生人数により変更あり）に、クラスで翻訳内容を説明し、自分の翻訳の面白い点や難しかった点について発表を行う。

Student Attainment Objectives

1. フランス人向けのテキストに直面して、今までの授業で対面した文よりもうちょっと入り組んだ文が理解できるようになります。
2. 馴染みのない、または馴染みがほとんどない内容をフランス語で読めるようになります。
3. 19世紀の西ヨーロッパ史について知識を高めます。
