Course Outline and Method
This is an introductory course which offers a unique global experience to students interested in studying abroad. The motto of the class is “Touch the World Beyond Borders”. Students from diverse colleges will be working together, engaging group projects based on their interests and concerns in a foreign country and region.
The aim of the program is to acquire global perspectives through fieldwork and project-based learning. This course, you will be going to Taiwan, exotic regions located in the tropics, full of energies, addressing their issues and carrying out fieldwork with buddies in small groups while exposing yourself to local life and culture.
Also, during the preparatory and post fieldwork lectures, you will have an opportunity to present and discuss your project in English, fostering communication skills. After completion of this course, you will surely have fundamental knowledge and perspectives of globalization, connecting you to your future studies including language enhancement.
Enjoy broadening your horizons and connecting the “dots” towards your future. How you would make it useful and functional is entirely up to you!
