Course Outline and Method

本講義においては、『アバター』や『旅情』などの作品をとりあげ、それらの字幕の解釈を起点として、セリフの背景や解釈についての議論を行なう。テーマは、人間が幸せに生きるとはどういうことか、ということである。それが諸映画の中でどのように表現されているかを見ていきたい。そして、学習者は関心をもつ作品（例：実写、アニメ、VFX、ゲーム コンテンツ等）を自由に選び、それに附帯させる字幕を生成するために、英語を「読む」或いは 「聞く」という作業に加え、「翻訳」を経て「書く」という技能を高めること を目的としている。

Student Attainment Objectives

１.様々な映像作品のセリフの意味について辞書を用いつつ、深く考察することができる。
２.幅広い映像作品における日/英語翻訳の基本的技法を理解し、それらを用いることができる。

第1回～15回まで、対面授業を実施する。
