Course Outline and Method
We live in an era of complex socioeconomic issues. How should we respond to these diverse issues? It is important to consider the problem objectively and flexibly from multifaceted perspectives, based on the "knowledge" that has been accumulated so far. Based on the concept of Sustainability, we will select several economic and social issues in this course. Students first can gain knowledge of Sustainability, overviews of the issues and understand knowledge from various standpoints. Then, students form small groups, conduct research, have discussions, consider possible ways to approach solving selected problems, and make presentations. Thus, in this course, we aim to cultivate students' multifaceted and diverse thinking skills and try to develop their communication skills by repeating these types of small group study activities.
Student Attainment Objectives
