授業の概要と方法

By reading Benedict Anderson's "The Age of Globalization: Anarchists and the Anti-Colonial Imagination" (originally published as "Under Three Flags: Anarchism and the Anti-Colonial Imagination"), this course will discuss what it means to do area studies in Southeast Asia.

Students will give presentations on the chapters of the book, and discuss the themes addressed in each chapter.

All the students are to read through the assigned chapter before the class starts.
Students are to give a presentation on at least one chapter from the book using slides or written summary. Students will take turns doing the presentations.
