Course Outline and Method

　英語を読むということは、3つの作業を要する。第一に、英語の文法的・語彙的理解である。第二に、それを母語（日本語）に置き換える作業である。さらに、専門分野等の背景知識にもとづく適訳の探索と背景自体の理解である。この授業では、この3つの作業をバランスよく実践する。
　この授業では中国、韓国、ユーラシアに関する英語テキストを読みながら、アジア大陸・ユーラシア大陸の政治、文化、戦争、平和、などについて考える。

Student Attainment Objectives

本講義を通じて、学生は、英語を通した地域研究や政策科学の理解の方法を獲得する。
