Course Outline and Method

この授業は、2月にオーストラリア国立大学で実施される研修に参加する学生を対象としています。事前学習会では、オーストラリアに関する基本情報を提供するとともに、現地で取り組む法分野の要点を学習し、渡航に関する各種ガイダンスを行います。現地では、オーストラリア国立大学の教員による講義を聴講した後、少人数でのチュートリアルを実施します。また、最高裁判所、連邦議事堂、戦争記念館などへのフィールドトリップも予定しており、実際の法制度や政治制度について深く学ぶ機会を提供します。帰国後には、研修内容を基にしたレポートの提出が求められます。

Student Attainment Objectives

① オーストラリア社会の成り立ち、法制度、及び政治制度の基礎を理解する。
② 英米法に関する入門的な内容を英語で聴講し、要点を理解できる。
③ 比較法的視点を身につけ、異なる法制度を比較して考察できる。
④ 法律分野における英語の基礎的な語彙と表現を習得し、事前に準備すれば、口頭または書面で使用することができる。

Recommended Preparatory Course

英米法に関する理解を深めるため「英米法I」（春学期・2回生以上）、「英米法II」（秋学期・２回生以上）、またオーストラリアの歴史・社会・文化に関する理解を深めるため「英語特殊講義（中上級）JB／（副）英語特殊講義（中上級）JB」（秋学期・２回生以上）の受講を推奨します。

事前講義はすべて対面で実施します。

①オーストラリアに関する文献やニュースを積極的に読む　②オーストラリアのニュースサイト等を活用し、オーストラリア英語に耳を馴らす ③リーディング・マテリアルの指定された箇所を読み、ある程度内容を理解する　④授業で配付する法律語彙リストを活用して、初歩の法律語彙の習得に努める
