Course Outline and Method

　大学教育には二つの側面があります。一つには様々な「学問」を身につけることで、これは主に講義形式の科目がその役割を担っています。もう一つは学生自身が自ら学ぶ主体として成長することを援助することです。このため演習Ⅰ～Ⅲをはじめとした小集団教育科目は、グループワークや討議などを中心に学生自身が主体的に成長する力を身につけること、およびそのための技法を身につけることを目的としており、大学での学びでの中心に位置づけられるものです。
　演習の方法は、各クラスのテーマにしたがって様々ですが、主にゼミレポート・論文の執筆、テキストの輪読・学生の発表・ディスカッション、研究テーマに基づくプレゼンテーションなどを通じて学びを深めていきます。

Student Attainment Objectives

ゼミは原則として2回生秋学期～3回生秋学期までの1年半連続となります。この間を通して、自身でテーマを見つけ、それについて調査・研究し、問題発見・分析・解決の能力を身につけることを目標とします。なお、こうした過程を発展させて4回生での卒業論文作成につなげてもらいます。
演習Ⅱでは、演習Ⅰで学んだことを生かしつつ、演習Ⅲで執筆する論文作成に向けての、専門分野の理解をさらに深めること、論文作成のための力量の形成が目標となります。
