Course Outline and Method

In this course, students are required to give presentations based on their research, using their English proficiency acquired through English Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ. Students are to develop their ability to convey information and their opinions precisely and effectively through learning, among others things, structuring presentations, frequently used expressions, effective delivery techniques, and the use of visual aids.
Feedback on quizzes and assignments will be given in-class and/or via manaba+R.

Student Attainment Objectives

- Can give a prepared straightforward presentation on a familiar topic within his/her field which is clear enough to be followed without difficulty most of the time, and in which the main points are explained with reasonable precision.
- Can follow a talk within his/her own field, provided the subject matter is familiar and the presentation straightforward and clearly structured.
- Can take follow up questions, but may have to ask for repetition if the speech was rapid.
