授業の概要と方法

本授業では、賛否の分かれる話題を取り上げ、インプット（聞く・読む）からアウトプット（話す・書く）に至る一連の活動を通じて英語運用能力の向上を図ります。ディスカッションやロールプレイを通じて、社会問題への理解を深め、思考力と発信力を高めます。学習内容の理解度および到達度を確認するため、小テストと最終テストを実施し、口頭発表を行います。

受講生の到達目標

①賛否の分かれるイシューに関する英文を読み、または聞いて、その背景や要点を的確に理解できる。
②賛否の分かれるイシューについて、賛成・反対いずれの立場からも論理的に意見を述べることができる。
③自分とは異なる立場の意見を理解し、相手の意見を尊重しながら建設的な議論を行うことができる。

本授業は全授業回を対面で実施します。

授業外学習の指示

① 毎週の課題として、テキストのリスニング問題に解答する
② テキスト付属の音声教材を活用し、音読やシャドーイングに取り組む
③ 小テストに備え、学習内容を復習する
