I」is a "bridge" course to taking specialized subjects in English, learning theoretical frameworks related to business administration in English, according to the English proficiency levels, based on general basic courses such as 「企業と経営」and 「企業と会計」for first-year students. The purpose is to acquire the basic knowledge needed to take the EMI courses offered in the fall semester of the second year (“International Business”, “Integrated Marketing”, and “Corporate Accounting”). In order to achieve this goal, the classes introduce active learning methods, apply the frameworks learned, and practice the process of researching materials, analyzing data and information, and making presentations based on actual examples.
Students of the College of International Business Administration must take at least one of the specialized subjects offered in English (the above three EMI subjects plus six subjects such as “Strategic Marketing” for third-year students and above) and earn credits. I」is positioned as the first stage of specialized learning in English unique to the College of International Business Administration.
In this course, we will host guest speakers in certain sessions to share their expertise and real-world work experience. While the schedule for these sessions is planned as of now, it may be subject to change depending on the availability of our guests. Any changes to the schedule or format (remote or face-to-face) will be communicated promptly, both in person and through the Course News.
