【授業の概要】
Broadcast media
This course aims to improve students’ general English language proficiency with a special emphasis on listening skills for comprehending English news media.


【授業の方法】
本科目は大学設置基準および立命館大学産業社会学部則において、区分を面接授業とする。詳細な実施方法については、manaba+Rのコースニュース、「授業スケジュール」および「授業実施形態」欄を確認のこと。

Student Attainment Objectives

The course will help students develop a range of skills* including, for example, the ability to:
- understand the gist of and extract factual information from a news report
- follow the sequence of reported events
- distinguish between fact & opinion
- give a brief oral/written summary of a news item

【BCP レベル1～2 の場合】
・この授業の実施形態は、manaba+Rのコースにて教員から公開されるクラスシラバスに明示されます。
・授業詳細については、授業科目のmanaba＋R でお知らせします。
・新型コロナウィルスに関わり、以下の配慮要件に該当することにより対面授業に出席できない受講生は、あらかじめ担当教員に申請してください。必要に応じて、ライブ配信型またはオンデマンド型で行います。申請方法は所定の「新型コロナウイルスに関わる対面授業配慮申請書」を作成し、授業担当者にメール送信してください。申請締切は春学期は4月12日、秋学期は9月30日です。締切日以降に新たに配慮要件に該当した場合は、事情を添えて授業担当者に申し出てください。
「新型コロナウイルスに関わる対面授業配慮申請書」は、学び支援サイト「授業関連」▶「公欠・授業配慮」ページ内からダウンロード可能です。

【配慮要件】
以下の要件に該当する学生に対しては、ライブ配信型またはオンデマンド型での配慮を行う。
　①基礎疾患や持病がある等、感染した場合に重症化するリスク（呼吸器疾患、糖尿病、心不全等の国が定める基礎疾患を有する場合）の高い学生
　②基礎疾患や持病がある等、感染した場合に重症化するリスク（呼吸器疾患、糖尿病、心不全等の国が定める基礎疾患を有する場合）の高い同居家族がいる学生
　③海外との往来制限により、学生本人が渡日・入国できない場合

【備考】
※「授業スケジュール」は、BCPレベル1～2を想定して記載している。変更があった際は別途manaba+Rに周知を行う。
※受講登録の結果によっては、出席調整またはメディアを利用した授業に切替えを行う場合がある。
※オンデマンド型授業の場合、授業の終了後、掲示板等で質疑応答等の機会を設け、授業の当日もしくは翌日午前中をめどに回答や解説を返信する。

課題、発表、出席、小テスト、授業参加を含む。詳細は授業で配布されるシラバスを確認すること。2/3 以上の授業に出席した者のみ成績評価の対象となる。出席点のみで単位を授与することはない。
