Course Outline and Method

　The Japan Times、The Japan News、The Asahi Shinbunなどから身近な日本の出来事や海外のニュースを扱った記事を読みます。扱われている記事のテーマは社会、文化、政治経済、教育、環境、スポーツ、テクノロジーなど多岐にわたっています。
　近年、世界で起こっていることを、知っていることも知らなかったことも英語で確認するだけではなく、批判的に読むことを通じて、客観的に物事をとらえ、自身の考えをもつということを大切にしたいと思います。

1. 世界で起こっているさまざまな出来事への視野を広げることができる。
2. 取り上げられているテーマについて批判的.・客観的に考えることができる。
