Course Outline and Method

This course explores the basics of strategic marketing to create competitive advantage, following Kotler and Armstrong (2014)’s marketing management functions such as analysis (micro and macro environment), planning (STP), implementation (4Ps) and control (evaluate the results and take corrective action). In addition to a series of lectures, each group needs to analyze business cases to apply strategic marketing frameworks to actual marketing challenges. For each case, students are required to make group-based presentation materials, and submit it through manaba R.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to

2) relate practices of actual companies to the field of strategic marketing.
3) apply strategic marketing basics in analyzing and solving marketing problems.
4) develop a marketing project for a proposed task.
