授業の概要と方法

読む・聞く・書く・話すという４技能を統合したアクティブ・ラーニングを通じて、これまでに身につけた英語コミュニケーション力をさらに伸ばすとともに、大学生らしく主体的に英語を学び、また英語を駆使して学ぶ、自立した学習者となる。より具体的には、「受講生の到達目標」に記載されたスキルに習熟する。
小テストや授業内レポート・エッセイなどの課題については、授業内もしくはmanaba＋R上で講評を行う。

受講生の到達目標

(1) 聞くこと
・ゆっくりはっきりと話されれば、自分自身や自分の家族・学校・地域などの身の回りの事柄に関連した句や表現を理解することができる。
・実況がよくわかる映像があれば、事件・事故報道などのTVニュースの要点が何であるか理解することができる。
(2) 読むこと
 ・非常によく用いられる、日常的言語や仕事上の決まり文句で書かれていれば、短い簡単なテクストを理解することができる。
 ・手紙、チラシ、事実を伝える短信ニュースなどの簡潔なテクストから、特定の情報を取り出すことができる。
(3) やり取り・話し合い
・必要がある場合にはだれかが助けてくれるならば、予め決まっているような状況、短い会話でなら、あまり無理なく対話ができる。
(4) 話すこと
・短いフレーズを重ねたり、短文をいくつか並べて、人、生活、仕事、日常生活などについて、単純な叙述をしたりプレゼンテーションをしたりすることができる。
(5) 書くこと
・出来事や自分の経験などを、ごく短く基本的に記述することができる。
・いくつかの単純なフレーズや文を、and, but, becauseなどの簡単な接続詞でつなげながら書き連ねることができる。

授業外学習の指示

Please keep up with all the assignments and tests. To do this, you need to set aside between one and two hours for each lesson at home. You will need an English/Japanese dictionary and a notebook to successfully do the homework assignments. Please bring them with you when you come to classes. The dictionaries can be electronic. The teacher will provide a list of self-study materials and resources in class.
