授業の概要と方法

This course is designed to help international students/bilingual Japanese students start a job search in both Japanese and international job markets. Students will understand job market trends and examine various career options that match their interests. They will 1) research sectors and companies they wish to apply, 2) prepare application documents, and 3) participate in mock interviews.

Additionally, the class invites several guest speakers who will share their job-search and work experiences. Potential areas include international cooperation, foreign affairs, international businesses such as consulting and startups, and media. The guest lectures will be conducted on Zoom.

The students will be able to:
1. Identify sectors and companies which meet a student’s skills and interests
2. Prepare application documents
3. Understand useful resources
4. Learn how to start job-search and how to apply for companies/organizations
5. Get ready for interviews through in-class mock interviews

[Note on the 2020 Spring Semester]
The class is conducted on Zoom during the 4th period on Fridays unless a change is notified in advance. Attendance is not mandatory, but try to regularly attend or set up an appointment with the instructor. Lecture Powerpoint slides are available on Manaba.
