Course Outline and Method

This course is based on face-to-face classes. The aim of this course is to give students the opportunity to read various kinds of domestic and overseas news articles intensively and extensively that are related to business. Students will be encouraged to acquire necessary grammatical structures, build their vocabulary and reading fluency, have discussions, and make presentations—all of which should lead to enhancement of comprehensive English proficiency. The latest news is also provided as handouts to keep in touch with the global trends. At the same time students are instructed to be critical readers as well as critical writers in terms of media literacy. Feedback will be given to students based on weekly homework assignments and presentations, as well as a midterm and final test.

There will be a Video On Demand before the first face-to-face class. Students should watch and complete the VOD lesson BEFORE the first class.

国内外のニュースの精読、多読を通して、文法(英語の構造)の基礎固めをします。テキストに加えて最新のニュースをプリントで配布し、社会の動きを英語でコミュニケートできる力を養います。また英語を学ぶだけではなく、自分のツールとして使えるようにするために記事に関するライティング演習なども行います。
この授業は対面で実施します。

最初の対面授業の前に、ビデオ・オン・デマンドがあります。初回授業の前にビデオ・オン・デマンドのレッスンを視聴し、完了させてください。
