Course Outline and Method

本コースでは個人あるいはグループの関心事をテーマにアドバンスト・プロジェクトを組む。アカデミック・ライティングとアカデミック・プレゼンテーションのスキルを身につけ、英語でフォーマルに発信するコミュニケーション能力を養う。特にアカデミック・ペーパーの書き方について学び、実際に1500 wordsから2000 words程度のターム・ペーパーを各自のテーマで書き上げる。
本科目の授業実施形態：対面+ライブ配信型

Student Attainment Objectives

◼️プロジェクトの立ち上げと実施
・自身の興味関心に基づいた、構成や着地点の明確なプロジェクトを立ち上げることができる。
・独自の調査やデータ、資料に基づき、自分の主張やプロジェクトの中身を論理的に補強することができる。

◼️アカデミック・ライティングのフォーマットの習得
・アカデミック・ライティングに含まれる基本的な構造を理解することができる。
・アカデミック・ライティングにふさわしい表現で文章や段落を英語で書くことができる。

◼️成果の発表
・プロジェクトの成果をアカデミック・ライティングとして英語でまとめることができる。
・アカデミック・ライティングとしてまとめたプロジェクトの成果を英語で口頭発表することができる。

Grade Evaluation Method （Note）

6月と12月にTOEIC IPを受験します。TOEIC IPはオンライン方式で行います。TOEIC-IPの結果は成績評価に反映され、400点未満は加点の対象になりません。なお受験しなかったり、受験中居眠りしたり、受験しても300点未満の場合は減点対象となります。

Advice to Students on Study and Research Methods

この授業は、あらかじめ一定の教材が与えられている「知識伝授型」のクラスではありません。読むもの、聞くもの、見るものすべては、皆さんが収集したものが中心になります。教室はその発表と意見交換の場となります。積極的に授業に参加しましょう。
リサーチで収集した資料等は、オンライン上で整理し、ターム・ペーパーとしてコース終了時に提出することになっています。日頃から、自分のリサーチテーマに関する資料の収集に努めましょう。資料は動画、写真、音声などマルチメディアの情報も集め、英語で簡単にまとめ整理しておきましょう。
