授業の概要と方法

Students will learn comprehensive learning skills necessary for studying abroad through the medium of English.

受講生の到達目標

Students will acquire the following skills necessary for studying abroad:

Be able to use reference materials, academic papers, etc., to produce term papers and deliver presentations.

Be able to understand and actively participate in academic discussions.

事前に履修しておくことが望まれる科目

本科目の受講にあたって、TOEFL(ITP) 480点以上、TOEFL(iBT) 55点以上、TOEIC(IP含む) 580点以上、IELTS 5.0以上、またはこれらのスコアに相当する英語力が必要です。

授業実施形態

授業は対面で実施します。オンライン授業になる場合、Manabaのコースニュースで知らせます。

授業外学習の指示

1. 課題は授業開始前までにManabaで提出してください。
2. 授業中はラップトップを持参してください。
3. ディベートの準備の際には、同じチームのメンバー同士で連絡先を交換すると、作業が進みやすくなります。

成績評価方法

Attendance: 2% x 15 times = 30%
Homework (English): 2% x 10 times = 20%

成績評価方法(備考)

1. For online classes, the attendance will only be taken if we can see you, so please turn on your camera.
2. For the final presentation sessions, asking at least 1 question each day will be counted towards your Q & A grade.
3. Submission of the final essay is necessary to receive credit for the class.
4. If the evaluations cannot be proceeded accordingly, substitute assignments will be given.

受講および研究に関するアドバイス

1. 同じプレゼンテーション・エッセイは二つの授業のために使えません。もし二つの授業で同じプレゼンテーション・エッセイを使いたい（例えば、同じプロジェクトに関する）場合は、事前に相談してください。
2. ウェブサイト・論文を参考文献に含まれたとしても、その内容を自分のエッセイにコピーペーストしてはいけません。必ず自分の言葉で言い換えたり、要約したりしてください。
