授業の概要と方法

This course reviews a wide range of theories exploring the nature and causes of conflict, the possibilities for conflict resolution, and the foundations of peace.

The course consists of two parts: the first part looks at the nature and causes of conflicts and introduces the basic field of inquiry. We will theoretically identify non-violent/violent conflict causes from various levels; the second part discusses theoretical and practical approaches to prevent and resolve conflicts peacefully.
