授業の概要と方法

This workshop aims to build students' English language skills to successful communicate when studying abroad or interreacting in a multicultural environment.

This student-centered style course will focus on developing SPEAKING and WRITING skills. Students will develop their speaking skills through learning vocabulary, participating in discussions, collaborating, and presenting. Students will also develop their writing skills through a variety of short-form writing assignments. Additionally, students will develop their critical thinking skills through group discussions, collaborative projects, and reflections.

Focused around the theme of intercultural communication in the modern age, this course moves from low- to high-level communicative activities. Students will learn how to build and maintain successful conversations, talk about Japanese culture, present and discuss about other cultures, and give opinions on complex cultural topics.

A student-centered, 14-week face-to-face course, students will gain insight not only from the instructor, but also from their peers and from themselves through reflective activities.
