Course Outline and Method

Academic integrity is fundamental to learning and researching at university. This course will focus on critical reading & incorporating other people's ideas into your writing in an honest manner.

Academic integrity shows that you have fully understood the reading material. It gives your new ideas credibility. And it properly credits other people's work.

It also protects students from any negative consequences, such as failing an assignment, for using someone else's ideas incorrectly.

Teaching methods: This is not a lecture-style class. This course will take the form of a research & writing project. Therefore, students will be active members of a group.

Before each class, you will need to find a research article relevant to your group's topic. And prepare for class by reading and making notes.
