Course Outline and Method

【クラステーマ】ドイツ語圏の文化と科学
明治以降の日本の文化と科学には、当時の先進国であったドイツ(プロイセン)の影響が色濃く残っている。第二次世界大戦 後、ドイツの科学の優位性はアメリカ合衆国に奪われたものの、現在でもドイツの科学と文化に対する深い理解には学ぶべきものがある。この授業では、ドイツとドイツ語圏の文化と科学に興味を持つ学生を対象とする。これらに関する基礎的理解を深めるため、各回の授業ではドイツ語圏を取り巻くいくつかの視点に立って教材を提示する。これを基にして討論を行い、講師からの講評を交えて理解を深めていく。受講者は、自分が興味を持った視点に関するテーマを選んでインターネットや文献等で調べてレポートをまとめ、それを基にスライド発表を行い、討論する。
