授業の概要と方法

必修英語単位回復のための週１回の授業です。この授業では90分の前半で、VOA や CNN のニューズ・メディアを通して英語の基礎技術とボキャブラリーを補足しつつ、メディアリテラシーや政治など、さまざまな分野にわたって英語で知識を学んでいきます。後半は、神話や伝説などの簡単な英語で書かれた古典を読み、レトリックや文学的な英語の読み方を学びます。

受講生の到達目標

大学生として必要な最低限度の英語運用能力をつける。
英語学習のコツをつかみ、自立した英語学習者となる。
英語を使って世界でおこっている事象を理解できるようにする。
英語を使って世界の多様な歴史や文化をまなび理解できる力をつける。
