Based on basic molecular genetics, basic biochemistry, basic protein science, basic genome science, basic genetic engineering, and basic genetic information science, this class provides a comprehensive overview of the genes that code life and how to use the information written on them as a resource. To this end, the class aims to provide students with the ability to master precisely the molecular mechanisms of DNA replication, repair, recombination, transcription, and translation, which are related to the maintenance and transmission of genetic information, and to apply these principles to consider the development of research on life science using genes as a resource.
