Course Outline and Method

This course is the first phase of the policy seminar series, and is strongly recommended for those who intend to write an undergraduate thesis in the final semester of their 4th year. In this class, a student chooses a topic for the independent research from one of the three core programs: multi-level governance, regional economy and development, and sustainable urban policy, and starts learning how to do undergraduate research in a particular field of study under the guidance of a professor. The course will provide students with skills to analyze issues and to solve problems. PS Exposition, research competition among PS/CRPS seminar students, is held towards the end of the semester to share the progress of student research projects across seminars.
